What are the dates/times for Boston Harborfest?
Wednesday, July 1 – Saturday, July 4. Times will be announced soon.
Where are the activities being held?
Boston Harborfest encompasses many of the significant historical landmarks and traditions celebrated in Boston and Downtown Crossing. Partner programming will occur along the Freedom Trail and throughout the city. The full schedule of events will be available soon.
Do we need to buy tickets to Boston Harborfest?
Thanks to our generous partners and sponsors, many of Boston Harborfest’s activities are free! Some events do require an entry fee. The full schedule of events will be available soon.
Is Public Transportation Available?
Yes, and we would advise taking it as parking will be limited. The most direct access to Downtown Crossing via the MBTA is on the Red or Orange Lines to Downtown Crossing Station. It is a short walk from Park Street station on the Green Line.
What entertainment will there be?
The annual opening opening ceremony in Downtown Crossing will include the Harborfest cake cutting and historic reenactments on Wednesday, July 1. From Wednesday, July 1 – Friday, July 3, Boston Harborfest will host a curated arts festival. Chowderfest will take place on Thursday, July 2. There will be live entertainment on stage in Downtown Crossing throughout the week.
Is this a family friendly event?
Yes! There will be plenty of interactive activities that encourage participation from both adult and youth audiences. From reenactments to arts and crafts, each Harborfest partner will offer fun and educational activities that celebrate the city’s great history and maritime heritage. The full schedule of events will be available soon.
